1. About Yamifoods

Yamifoods is an online food marketplace operating in Lagos, Nigeria that connects customers with:

• Vendors selling freshly cooked meals and ready-to-eat food.
• Vendors selling raw food ingredients (meat, fish, vegetables, spices, grains).
• Our proprietary Market Runs service, where we shop and deliver food or groceries on your behalf to any address.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Ordering and Payment

• Orders are placed directly through the Yamifoods platform.
• Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• We accept payment via approved payment gateways. We do not store full card details.
• An order confirmation email is sent upon successful payment. This constitutes a binding purchase.
• Yamifoods reserves the right to cancel any order at its sole discretion, with a full refund provided.
• Free delivery is available on qualifying orders above ₦10,000 to eligible locations.

4. Delivery Terms

• Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on location, traffic, and vendor preparation time.
• You are responsible for providing an accurate and accessible delivery address.
• If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, our rider will attempt to contact you. After two failed attempts, the order may be cancelled without a refund for perishable items.
• Delivery fees are shown at checkout before payment is made.
• Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before specified cut-off times.

5. Market Runs

• Market Runs allows you to request that we purchase items on your behalf from any market, restaurant, or store in our service area.
• You must provide an accurate item list, budget, and delivery address.
• Yamifoods is not responsible for items that are unavailable at the time of purchase.
• Any price difference between your estimate and actual cost will be communicated before purchase and you may approve or cancel.
• Market Run fees are charged separately from item costs.

6. Vendor and Product Quality

• Yamifoods vets vendors but does not directly prepare or inspect every product listed.
• Vendors are independently responsible for the quality, freshness, and accuracy of their products.
• If you receive a substandard, incorrect, or unsafe product, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery to initiate a refund or replacement (see Refund Policy).

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any Nigerian law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent orders or reviews.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse vendors, delivery agents, or support staff.
• Resell or commercially exploit Yamifoods products or services without written consent.
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Yamifoods platform — including logos, designs, text, and software — is owned by or licensed to Yamifoods. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Yamifoods shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
• Losses caused by third-party vendors, payment processors, or delivery agents.
• Service interruptions due to technical issues, maintenance, or force majeure events.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be referred to mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or on-platform notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
